the catering outfit is a locally-owned, boutique culinary design firm specializing in unique experiences for celebrations in the lives of our clients. we create immersive, interactive, food-driven experiences and pair that with our exceptional service.

the catering outfit is committed to minimal waste, using compostable plates, flatware and cups at all of our functions when not using china, stainless and glassware. all of our cups and to-go containers are biodegradable and tco has a recycling program for cardboard, paper, glass, fry oil, and plastics. we also partner with black bear to compost our food scrap and waste.

our initiative
with our industry of creating craft cuisine comes great responsibility. we produce menus that are consistent with the season. we outsource regionally and locally whenever possible. we have made a commitment to sell only environmentally responsible seafood and to help transform the marketplace in favor of more responsible fisheries and aquaculture operations by following the monterey bay seafood watch program. as members of slow food usa, we support good, clean, and fair food for all.

"the catering outfit was amazing and we got so many compliments on the food! walter and the team are amazing and were super flexible with us - they partnered with one of our guests (who has smoked meat/collaborated with them in the past) to meet our vision of having as many friends involved in the details of our day as possible. we also used courtney as our coordinator, which definitely helped the day move seamlessly. she did an amazing job managing the other vendors and problem solving when changes needed to be made. they had a box of food/champagne packaged up for us and placed in our getaway car, which was such a special treat! we could not recommend more highly!! thank you!"
